Text to Translation: The Story of the New Testament (Session 04)

June 25 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$5

In this fourth and final session of the Biblion Lecture Series, “Text to Translation: The Story of the New Testament,” we conclude with:

“The Translations: the Ancient Text and Modern Versions,” where we answer the common question, “How do we get from the Greek New Testament to the English translations we read today?” To answer, we explore the process of translation, examine how scholars bridge the gap between ancient texts and modern readers, discuss how to effectively use different translations, and suggest which criteria make a translation “good.”

After the presentation and a short break, our scholars field your questions!

If you missed the earlier sessions, don’t that that stop you! We promise you won’t feel left out, and there’s plenty to gain from each session. (Besides, you can always catch up the next time around.)

Scribal Fellowship members who give at least $25/month are entitled to 2 free admission tickets per event. Learn more about the Scribal Fellowship here.
