Text to Translation: The Story of the New Testament (Session 03)

June 18 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

$5

In this third session of the Biblion Lecture Series, “Text to Translation: The Story of the New Testament,” we combine two presentations:

In “The Scribes: the Faithful Laborers who Preserved the New Testament,” we dive into the work of scribes who painstakingly copied New Testament manuscripts, ensuring their preservation and transmission through the ages. Discover how these dedicated individuals preserved the text, maintained its integrity and secured it for future generations.

In “Textual Criticism: the Art and Science of Preserving the Oldest Text,” we examine the principles and methods of textual criticism, sharing how scholars analyze the relationships between manuscripts to uncover the earliest possible readings of the New Testament. Learn how this critical discipline helps us understand the history and transmission of the New Testament text, revealing its journey from antiquity to the present.

If you missed the earlier sessions, don’t that that stop you! We promise you won’t feel left out, and there’s plenty to gain from each session. (Besides, you can always catch up the next time around.)

Scribal Fellowship members who give at least $25/month are entitled to 2 free admission tickets per event. Learn more about the Scribal Fellowship here.
