Meet the 2024-25 CSNTM Intern Cohort

At CSNTM, we are dedicated to ensuring that the New Testament you read most accurately reflects the original words of the apostles and early witnesses of Jesus Christ. In support of this mission, we promote and train promising textual scholars through our internship program!

This year, these exceptional interns will undergo rigorous training in New Testament textual criticism. They will engage in reading seminars, critical text assignments, and personal research, all under the guidance of Dr. Daniel B. Wallace and the CSNTM Research Team. Our Interns play a vital role in CSNTM’s mission to preserve, share, and study Greek New Testament manuscripts, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to mentor, inspire, and work alongside each of these students!

Jarod Farrar

Hello, my name is Jarod Farrar and I am from Maine. My wife and I moved to Dallas so I could attend Dallas Theological Seminary where I am currently pursuing a ThM degree. I hope to eventually complete a PhD program in biblical studies allowing me to contribute to both the academic community and the church.

Sam Kim

My name is Sam Kim and I have lived in the DFW metroplex for most of my life. I am a masters student at Southwestern Seminary and enjoy teaching about the Bible to all ages. I am excited that this internship will equip me to engage dynamically with the text and transmission of the New Testament. I hope that such training will not only mold me into a more well-rounded New Testament scholar, but also help me become a pastor-teacher who helps others confidently learn from the Bible.

Andrew Wong

My name is Andrew Wong. I am currently a part-time ThM student at Dallas Theological Seminary, while working in analytics and data science for a financial services company. I am graduating in May 2025, after which, I plan to pursue a PhD focusing on the application of corpus linguistics in the study of the New Testament.

On Thursday, September 19, we will be participating in North Texas Giving Day—a local giving extravaganza—to raise $20,000 for the training of our three exceptional interns. Every dollar contributed on NTX Giving Day will be matched and will directly support the internship program! Will you join us in supporting Jarrod, Sam, and Andrew by making a contribution?
